The theme for wordful wednesday is Finding Joy. To find out more about Wordful Wednesday go to Chocolate on my Cranium
The first thing that came to mind is a song that I learnt as a youth counsellor at TFY (Time for Youth) Australia's version of EFY
Joy in the Journey
We may not see the end from the beginning
We can not comprehend all the Father has instore
We may not have the anwsers to the questions
Through the life that we have been given He longs to teach us more
Every rock we stumble across can be a stepping stone
There are precious hidden treasures scattered all along the road
There is joy in the journey, joy in the climb
Twisting and turning reaching for the open sky
Carving out each foot step,in the struggling we find
There is hope, there is joy, in the Journey
We can not know what's coming round the corner
We may not see the mountains and the valleys up ahead
Everyday we put our faith in heaven
In the light of the morning we find strength to rise again
All of us are travellers searching for our home
In the learning we are not alone
There is joy in the journey, joy in the climb
Twisting and turning reaching for the open sky
Carving out each foot step,in the struggling we find
There is hope, there is joy, in the Journey
There is joy in the journey, joy in the climb
Twisting and turning reaching for the open sky
Carving out each foot step,in the struggling we find
There is hope, there is joy, in the Journey
twisting, turning, reaching, learning
There is Joy in the Journey
In finding joy you have to be looking for it I suppose. I am still just starting out on my journey. I am trying to teach myself to find more joy in small things.
I find joy in
My family
My husband
My children
My faith
reading
cooking
talking
creating
photos
I am attempting to find joy in
quiet
amongst noisy children
nature
daily
sewing
I need help in finding joy during
pain
hard times
struggles
running
the eternal plan of things
May you all find the joy you are searching for in this life - life is short and we need to love ourselves and our lives...TODAY and EVERYDAY.

Lovely post. I found joy today in having the smalls beside me doing what I needed to do but in smaller volumes. Me, watering the vegie patch with mummy sized watering can, they with their small people sized watering cans (although I think they used much more water than I after all the spills!).
I love this song!!! Were you a counsellor in 2002 when William and I were there together - wait I think you were married by then - in any case - great post!!
I really appreciate your sentiments. They are things that I am working on as well, the finding joy amidst hardship or trials.
My sentiments exactly thanks for your inspiration. Thanks for visiting my blog, isn't it wonderful how we can uplift each other in blog land. I love that you let off balloons with your family at the temple, lovely!
I love the lists. Great thoughts.
I remember that song from YW too. Lists help me tremendously when I feel I'm not quite obtaining the joy I desire. Lovely post, thanks for participating!
I love meeting new people! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. My kids came running into the kitchen saying, "MOM! someone from AUSTRALIA left a comment!!!"
