Hot Challenge - Unplug your kids

Last weeks challenge at Unplug your Kids was Hot

The girls suggestion was hot rocks - but we have done them before and I still have the same problem - no rocks, so this was my suggestion after seeing the idea from Seven Super Summers when they had a Sundae party for Muffin Tin Monday.

As it is Winter here we had a Hot Chocolate Party.

The girls absolutely loved it. We have plain Milo (hot chocolate) everyday with breakfast during winter, but this was more fun because of the toppings and the canned whipped cream - which we never buy as it is very expensive in Australia (around $5 a can!!) Real Fresh Cream which you whip yourself is only $1 so we only ever use that, but that isn't as fun to squirt on the top of drinks, so I splurged.

  1. That looks utterly divine. Seriously good. Glad they could all have a little crunch time with the hot chocolate. Unplugged is certainly not unfun. It is rocking your crib.

  2. I am desperately trying to resist chocolate this week since I just got back from vacation and brought home a few extra pounds! Then I check out your blog and your hot chocolate party looks so good! HELP! m

  4. YUMMY!!! It's too hot here to enjoy hot chocolate, but looking forward to the winter to bring it back out.

  5. That looks so good. I live in South Florida it is always hot here, not much need for hot chocolate here. Maybe I can crank the a/c so there will be though. Oh the ideas.....

  7. This looks like lots of fun.
It's just too big for my mind to comprehend that you're in the middle of winter, while I'm here melting away in the 100 degree sun:)

  8. They look delicious - what a fun idea. Too bad I just did the groceries this morning. As for whipped cream we have an aerosal container (bought at David Jones). It was expensive but has paid for itself over the years.

  10. Heehee! I had the same reaction as one of your other commentors...yum, but we were sweltering in 95 degree heat on the New Jersey shore! Our "hot chocolate" was ice cream that melted before you got back to your beach blanket. :)
