We have had two weeks to prepare for this Muffin Tin Monday by Sycamore Stirrings- The theme was literature!! - Make a muffin tin meal based on a book!! So we did two!
I asked the girls what book they want to do - Miss 2 is all about Banana's in Pyjama's - anytime you ask about books this is what she wants. So we did a muffin tin meal based on their choice
Banana Lollies, Cheese, Marshmellows
Honey tiny Teddies, Frozen Bananas on stick, Choc Tiny Teddies
Here is the song for those who don't know it:
Bananas in Pyjamas
Are coming down the stairs
Bananas in Pyjamas
are coming down in pairs
Bananas in Pyjamas
are chasing Teaddy Bears
'Cos on Tuesdays they all try to
Catch them Unawares
Are Chasing Teddy bears
My choice was the book "You are Special" by Max Lucado - I am sure most know of it as it is pretty famous - but it is a book about Wemmicks. They stick star stickers on those they like and circle stickers on those they don't. You can get stickers for anything - even not having enough stickers. It is good for children to learn that this type of judging can be very mean and hurt feelings. In the end there is a girl wemmick who has no stickers, this makes the main character want to find out why - it turns out she visits Eli - their maker each week and he removes her stickers.
Banana, choc Thins, Man Toast
Rice crackers, peanut butter and nutella, cheese
I based mine on the Build A bear muffin tin - I cut out a man shape with a cookie cutter and we decorated with the circles
This was a most fun Muffin Tin Monday - try it with your favourite children's books

Love the bananas on sticks! This is my all time favorite book. I read it to my kids all the time. Cute muffin tin. You are the best. m
I love reading that book to my little monkeys, if I can get through it without crying. Love your muffin tin.
I love that you let them choose their own book. What a great mom, and what great ideas.
I love, love, love both your muffin tins! Great job!
