So you all remember my post about my lovely new art desk for the kids? (Probably not so click here)
Well the truth is I can't be trusted with a flat surface ... there it is out for everyone to see (well I blame the kids - it's their mess)
My house is the size of a postage stamp and I have very few flat spaces and no office to speak off.. so if a flat surface is available... WATCH OUT!! You will end up with Junk covering you
So the desk had to go which actually freed up some space in the dining room so I am kinda glad...
So where has desk gone??
Outside!!
I also have no laundry room (it is a cupboard that holds the washing machine)so usually all my folding sits in a basket (or in a big pile much larger than said basket) on the varandah - My solution? - The desk will hold the folding.. it is working so far...
but what happens when said desk becomes a mess again?
I may have to ban myself from flat surfaces in the house!! Is there a group I can join for this? Maybe Frumpy can start a support group for me...

I would join that support group Bobbie. Just let me know when and where. Flat surfaces are trouble for paper for me.
It is hard to live in such a small place. I understand. I lives in the back of our office building for five years with three kids and two dogs!!! It was only 200 sq feet and it was a public place so I had to keep the kids quiet during business hours.
Well, I did not have three kids all five years. We started out with only one kid and ended up with three. But is was difficult.
I know your pain. I had to get creative. That is for sure. My heart goes out to you. M
Thank you for helping me to feel better....I have the same problem with flat surfaces, and am glad to know I am not alone!
I think the problem would go away or least decrease if I had no kids, but I have decided that I do want to keep the kids, so......
Sorry I think you inherited it from your mother, Flat surfaces same for me lol Some things is a problem for my parents and those before them. so looks like either you live with it or have no flat surfaces any where in your house
