This weeks challenge at Unplug Your Kids was SMOOTH
I am not sure if our craft can be counted as smooth so this morning we made healthy SMOOTHIES for Breakfast - YUM!
I have lots of photos of the girls making them - cutting banana's etc, but they weren't that good quality - so here are a few of them enjoying the SMOOTHIES
We made stained glass windows for the craft component. The girls had been watching Vegetales: An Easter Carol and there is an extras feature that shows you how to make stained glass windows with wax paper, crayon shavings and an iron. We thought it would make a good "smooth" challenge
BUT ... we didn't have wax paper :( So we attempted the other version which is placing pieces of tissue paper on contact. Contact is smooth isnt it? Well this is our smooth entry anyway - Now this craft is all over the net, but we had never done it before - contact is hard to find when it isn't the beginning of the school year!
Notice the "church window" shape - the girls asked for?

We make smoothies alot. Mattie loves them. Those look really good by the way.
I love those projects. It is very very pretty. Good job girls. And the shape is lovely.
love the smoothies, and love your finished product - that looks like so much fun!!!
mmmmm, we love smoothies. Your art is delightful too.
Those windows are lovely! I have never tried that craft before either, so you aren't the only one for whom old things are sometimes new. I love the photos of the girls and the smoothies too. Very sweet!
Smoothies was the first thing I thought of too! I like the stained glass windows - that's cute that they wanted the church window shape.
Yummy smoothies. I love the sun catchers, they came out beautiful.
You came up with good ideas. I couldn't come up with ANY!
Love the windows:)
Smoothies! Of course! We make them all the time - what a good idea (and they look delicious!). We also made 'stained glass windows' recently, by using white glue and cellophane on overhead transparency sheets (the idea was from kidscraftweekly.com) but using contact looks easier for little kids.
I would never have thought of using tissue paper they look beautiful. I used to do the same sort of thing with coloured cellophane
So pretty. I make smoothies also. They are so good. YUM. m
