Last weeks theme from Unplug your Kids was PAINT.
For those of you who do not know this website, it has a weekly challenge using something eg metal, ribbon, toothpicks, nature etc and then you do a craft/activity with your kids during the week using the theme. Some people then link back to the site and you can look at what other people have done.
See here Last weeks project which was metal. Unplugged Mom made a knitting nancy (which I really want to do - anyone got nails?) out of a tin can. At the bottom of the post is the theme for last week (PAINT) then on Monday (Today* It is USA site, so Tuesday in the Southern Hemisphere) you can link what you did to her post and at the bottom of that post will be this weeks challenge - YOU WITH ME??? GOT IT??
I am interested in following this, if you are too (you dont have to show the world what you make, just check the Unplug Your Kids site on Mondays) please follow along.. or just enjoy looking at the crap my family creates!!!
I must be one of the few blogging mumma's who didnt know you could make paint. After seeing paint recipes at Creative Kids and then seeing that the Unplug your kids theme was paint - well of course I HAD to do it!
I premade the cornflour "goo" before the kids came home from school
The kids added the colour
I even made potato printers - FIRST TIME EVER!! Easy Cheats way - press cookie cutter into potato - run knife around edge - remove cookie cutter - PRESTO!
